Mukono COVID-19 cases rise

Medical practitioners in Mukono District have requested the Ministry Health to start a COVID-19 treatment centres as part of the strategy to fight the virus effectively in the district.
The call comes when 15 people by August,29,2020 have tested positive to COVID-19. The patients had voluntarily come for testing after sensing signs of the virus.
The Mukono District Health Officer(DHO) Dr.Mulindwa Stephen said that they need a treatment centre because all signs show that the disease might be out of control.
He said that the ministry should start planning for decentralizing further the treatment of the disease to avoid suffocating the existing centres in Kampala and put up more centre to address the increasing number of affected people.
Dr.Mulindwa said Uganda deserves a second lockdown for atleast a month to enable a better monitoring of the increasing cases in Uganda.
Uganda has so far registered close to 2000 cases and over 20 deaths.
